# 7 AI tools for Facebook ads, compared by workflow

**Start with Meta Advantage+ for native automation, AdCreative.ai for creative generation, and Motion for analyzing the ads you already run.** Consider Madgicx for an advertising workspace, Birch for condition-based rules, Markifact for connected marketing workflows, and Plainrouter for Meta signal reads and supported creative proposals through your agent.

You probably do not need all seven. Choose the bottleneck first: making assets, understanding results, repeating account tasks, or preparing a change with an AI assistant.

Plainrouter publishes this comparison and is one of the seven options. We reviewed public product documentation and costs on September 15, 2026. This is a shortlist organized by workflow, not a performance ranking or a hands-on benchmark. Recommendations reflect documented fit, not measured improvements in campaign returns.

## Which tool should you start with?

| Tool | Choose it for | Look elsewhere when |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Meta Advantage+ | Native campaign and creative automation | You need a separate production or analysis workspace |
| AdCreative.ai | Generating visual ad variations | You mainly need to understand existing campaign results |
| Motion | Creative analysis, tags, reports, and briefs | You have little ad history or a small software budget |
| Madgicx | Account analysis and advertising operations | A single native feature already covers the task |
| Birch | Repeatable rules for account changes | You cannot yet define a sensible condition and action |
| Markifact | Tasks spanning several marketing services | You only need a simple Meta-only workflow |
| Plainrouter | Meta signal evidence and supported creative proposals | You need an image generator or an autonomous media buyer |

## What do these tools cost?

Prices below were checked on September 15, 2026. Dollar amounts are USD; Plainrouter bills in EUR. Paid software is additional to your advertising budget. These are entry configurations, so compare the allowance for the task you actually need.

| Tool | Published entry point | What affects the bill |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Meta Advantage+ | Check available tools in Ads Manager; no separate software price verified here | Your ad budget and selected campaign settings |
| [AdCreative.ai](https://www.adcreative.ai/) | Starter **$39/month**, monthly billing | 10 monthly download credits, one brand in this configuration |
| [Motion](https://motionapp.com/pricing) | Starter **$750/month** as listed | Up to $50,000 monthly ad spend; higher spend tiers available |
| [Madgicx](https://madgicx.com/pricing) | Pro Complete **$45/month**, monthly billing, below $1,000 ad spend | Spend tier and optional add-ons |
| [Birch](https://bir.ch/pricing) | Pro **$99/month**, monthly billing, up to $10,000 ad spend | Spend across connected accounts and overages |
| [Markifact](https://www.markifact.com/pricing) | Pro **$79/month**; 200 one-time signup credits | Monthly credits, model usage, and seats |
| [Plainrouter](/pricing) | **€0/month** below €300 observed ad spend; **€19/month** from €300 to under €2,000 | Previous month's connected Meta spend band and arrival allowance |

For Plainrouter, those first two bands include 2,000 and 5,000 monthly arrivals respectively. Overage is €1 per additional 5,000 arrivals, with partial blocks rounded up. The band uses the previous calendar month's observed spend and is billed in arrears. See the [full pricing rules](/pricing) for higher bands. Include any separate AI-client subscription in the cost of an agent workflow.

## 1. Meta Advantage+: native automation before another subscription

**Choose it when the task belongs inside Ads Manager.** Meta's own creative workflow includes Advantage+ creative, flexible media, related media, and format automation. Its training materials explain how these options fit campaign creation. [Meta Blueprint's creative workflow guide](https://www.facebookblueprint.com/student/activity/673372-optimizing-agency-workflows-with-ai-creative-tools).

Start by checking the features available for your account and objective. Preview the changes to your assets and decide which transformations fit your brand. An announced feature is not proof that every account can use it.

**Skip another vendor for now** if these native controls solve the problem. Evaluate a specialist when you need a distinct output, such as a reusable creative brief or production assets for several channels.

## 2. AdCreative.ai: generate assets, then judge the usable output

**Choose it when you need more creative variations from an existing offer.** AdCreative.ai documents image and video creation alongside creative scoring. Its credit FAQ distinguishes generation from downloads: credits are consumed when you download generated creatives. [Product and plan details](https://www.adcreative.ai/).

Try one product, one offer, and the placements you need. Inspect product accuracy, readable text, and editing effort. A predicted creative score is not a campaign result; judge the assets you can actually use.

**Skip it as your first purchase** if you already have enough creative and need to diagnose why existing ads underperform. That is closer to Motion's analysis workflow or Madgicx's account review.

## 3. Motion: turn existing creative performance into the next brief

**Choose Motion when your team has ad history to learn from.** Its current Starter plan lists creative analytics, an ad leaderboard, AI tags and tasks, and briefs, hooks, and reports delivered through its AI workflow. It is a creative-intelligence option rather than simply another image generator. [Motion's current plans](https://motionapp.com/pricing).

Use a question such as “Which hooks are worth another iteration?” Check that the answer shows the relevant creatives and reporting context before adopting the brief.

**Skip it for now** if you are launching your first campaign with little evidence or cannot justify its listed $750 monthly entry point. Native reporting and a simple creative log may be enough until the analysis workload grows.

## 4. Madgicx: account analysis and optimization in one workspace

**Choose Madgicx when you want recurring account review alongside advertising operations.** Its product describes AI-supported optimization, and its Pro Complete plan includes automation, targeting, analytics, and ad management. [Optimization workflow](https://madgicx.com/optimization), [plan selector](https://madgicx.com/pricing).

Check one recommendation against the same account and date range in Ads Manager. Establish whether the workflow gives advice, asks you to apply a change, or runs an automation you have enabled. Tracking Pro is listed separately as an add-on; do not assume every capability is included in the base price.

**Skip the broader bundle** if your only bottleneck is generating a handful of images or applying one straightforward native rule.

## 5. Birch: rules for repeatable account decisions

**Choose Birch when you can define what should happen under a specific condition.** Its Rules product focuses on condition-based ad automation. The Pro plan lists automated rules and strategies; the cheaper Essential plan is not the relevant cost baseline for that job. [Birch Rules](https://bir.ch/manage), [plan comparison](https://bir.ch/pricing).

For example, define the metric, reporting window, threshold, and intended action before enabling a rule. Check its scope and execution history. This differs from asking a chatbot for a recommendation: an enabled rule is intended to act when its conditions are met.

**Skip automated execution for now** if your underlying conversion data is unreliable or you cannot explain why the condition warrants the change. An AI-assisted interface does not make every automation an AI judgment.

## 6. Markifact: connect tasks across your marketing stack

**Choose Markifact when the task crosses services.** It documents agents, workflows, and MCP access to marketing platforms, including Meta account operations. Its agent workflow describes approval before changes go live. [Meta Ads workflow](https://www.markifact.com/meta-ads-mcp), [platform and credit model](https://www.markifact.com/pricing).

Evaluate a report that combines the services you actually use. Check its accounts, dates, and metric sources, then inspect which steps consume credits. The signup allowance is one-time, not a recurring free-plan balance. Approval claims also need to be checked in the specific agent, MCP, or workflow path you select.

**Skip the extra orchestration** if your task stays in one account and the native tools already produce the required result.

## 7. Plainrouter: Meta evidence and supported proposals through your agent

**Choose Plainrouter when you want your agent to read Meta signal health and prepare a supported creative change.** Its MCP connection binds to an authorized ad account, exposes signal and creative context, and supports creative proposals. The credential-free sandbox uses synthetic data. [Current connection guide](https://plainrouter.com/docs/mcp/setup), [tool reference](https://plainrouter.com/docs/mcp/tools).

Start with the sandbox to inspect the workflow. For authorized creative work, read the returned proposal status and the action's execution limits. A submitted proposal is not proof that an ad changed; approval or policy evaluation and execution are separate stages.

**Choose another option** for image/video generation, general multi-platform automation, or autonomous budget management. Plainrouter's role here is the documented Meta workflow.

If you are choosing the connection itself, use the [Meta Ads MCP comparison](/library/meta-ads-mcp-options) for hosting, costs, and approval differences.

## Choose one task before choosing a subscription

Compare a concrete result: three usable creative variations, a supported explanation of creative performance, an accurate account report, or a reviewed proposal. Include the time spent correcting output and maintaining the workflow.

Check conversion evidence before trusting an AI summary built from it. If missing events are the immediate problem, start with [CAPI troubleshooting](/library/meta-capi-missing-duplicate-events). If you need a delivery provider, compare [server-side tracking tools](/library/server-side-tracking-tools).

The useful tool is the one that removes your current bottleneck at an acceptable cost. Creative generation, analysis, and executed account changes are separate jobs; a good result at one does not establish competence at all three.
