# Meta conversion tracking for Squarespace.

Understand where your Squarespace purchase flow can support a custom Meta tracking setup. Use Plainrouter to inspect event acceptance and delivery, with browser collection and a separate server workflow.

Custom implementation · checkout access is limited

## From your workflow to Meta

- **Website** — Capture the permitted visitor context
- **Your backend** — Verify the event and preserve its identity
- **Plainrouter** — Inspect receipt and delivery status
- **Meta** — Deliver eligible conversion events

Browser installation, a valid server request, Meta delivery and ad attribution are separate outcomes.

## What Plainrouter adds

### Map the real purchase journey

Squarespace has different post-purchase surfaces for different product types. Check the actual order confirmation or order status page rather than assuming one thank-you page covers everything.

### Avoid counting page revisits as sales

An order status page can be revisited. Use a verified transaction and stable event identity; a page-view guard is not a substitute for a reliable purchase record.

### Separate collection from server delivery

A browser script can collect permitted activity where it runs. A separate trusted sender must verify server events, keep credentials private and carry the required context.

## Is this a fit for your setup?

For teams whose Squarespace plan supports the necessary custom code and who can maintain a trusted server workflow. Validate visitor and consent continuity across your actual purchase flow before choosing this path.

### When your existing setup is enough

Keep an existing integration when it meets your requirements. A custom implementation adds work and does not remove Squarespace’s page-access limits or establish missing visitor context.

## How Squarespace conversion tracking works

### Check code placement

Review your plan’s code-injection support and the relevant page surfaces. Squarespace does not allow custom code on checkout pages; do not assume site-wide injection covers checkout.

### Verify the consent handoff

Connect the real visitor decision to collection and to any later server request. Test the complete journey, including returns to an order page, before relying on the event path.

### Choose one verified sender

Use the documented Conversion API only when you can retain the required website and permission context. Preserve the original purchase time and event ID across retries and inspect delivery results.

## Squarespace conversion tracking FAQ

### Can I inject tracking code into Squarespace checkout?

Squarespace’s current code-injection documentation says custom code cannot be added to checkout pages. Its post-purchase code fields are separate surfaces.

### Is there a native Plainrouter Squarespace extension?

This is a custom implementation assessment, not an installable extension or a verified turnkey checkout adapter.

### Does an order confirmation script prove server-side tracking?

No. That script runs in the browser. A server conversion requires a separate trusted request with verified event data and the required consent and visitor context.

## Have the right setup for a custom integration?

Create your Plainrouter workspace when you have confirmed the browser, consent and server requirements above. Keep your existing purchase sender until you have planned the change.
