# Plan a custom Meta tracking setup for Wix.

Work out whether Wix’s native Meta connection covers your needs or a custom Plainrouter workflow would help you investigate event delivery. Check the code, consent and backend requirements before switching.

## From your workflow to Meta

- **Website** — Capture the permitted visitor context
- **Your backend** — Verify the event and preserve its identity
- **Plainrouter** — Inspect receipt and delivery status
- **Meta** — Deliver eligible conversion events

Browser installation, a valid server request, Meta delivery and ad attribution are separate outcomes.

## What Plainrouter adds

### Start with what Wix already sends

Identify the native events and any extra scripts before changing anything. A lower count can reflect consent, matching or attribution rather than a missing sender.

### Make custom-code purpose explicit

Wix categorizes custom code, with Essential as the default. Classify advertising code appropriately and connect the actual consent decision to the event flow.

### Keep a traceable custom event

Where a custom backend is warranted, preserve the event’s identity and website context. Use Plainrouter receipts to investigate acceptance and destination delivery.

## Is this a fit for your setup?

For teams with a developer-owned backend or workflow and access to the necessary Wix custom-code controls. The browser-to-server context must be validated for your site; a generic snippet is not a turnkey Wix adapter.

### When your existing setup is enough

Wix already offers a Meta Pixel and Conversions API integration. Use it when it covers your event needs, and diagnose the existing setup before creating another conversion sender.

## How Wix conversion tracking works

### Review the native Meta connection

Check Wix’s documented Meta integration and the events you intend to measure. Pick a concrete gap before adding a custom path.

### Verify code and consent behavior

Check custom-code availability and category on your site. Test consent refusal, acceptance and subsequent navigation; a code category alone does not populate Plainrouter’s consent fields.

### Validate a separate backend path

Keep secrets outside injected JavaScript. Only send verified events whose required visitor and consent context you can retain, and coordinate any migration away from the existing sender.

## Wix conversion tracking FAQ

### Is Plainrouter a Wix marketplace app?

This page describes custom workflow fit, not a marketplace app or a validated Wix-specific adapter.

### Does Wix already support CAPI?

Yes. Wix documents its own Meta Pixel and Conversions API connection. A custom Plainrouter flow should solve a need beyond enabling basic connectivity.

### Does categorizing code complete consent integration?

No. Script loading and the event’s permission snapshot are separate. Your implementation must carry the real decision and honor withdrawal before later sends.
